| American 700 set to be run in the hottest temperatures in ARCSOA Elite Series history
The weather reports for Saturday's Independence day showdown are set to be well into the triple digits. National weather service meteorologist Mark Kindley told us, "High temps during the day are expected to peak around 114-116 degrees. However by 7PM, the temps are expected to drop to 107 degrees. By the end of the race, expect temps to hover around 95 degrees." ARCSOA historians noted that the previous hottest race on record was the inaugural American 700 right here at Fontana in Season 12, in which temperatures reached 102 degrees as a daytime high. However when the race started they were around 96 degrees. Driver Kenny Myatt stated, "The high temps are going to make this already tiring race, even more difficult." OLINA Sports network's coverage of the race is set to begin 4PM Saturday afternoon with the pre-race show and concerts. Musical talents include, Weird Al Yankovic, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and keynote Singer Katy Perry.

| Jordan:Grew up at the Beach so this is like home compared to all those northern tracks. Tedford:I had more things to worry about than heat in Australia, really the only problem is the drought going on. We're having to import water for these Turbines so they don't blow up on us. | |

| Collins: "Probably not... We'll never know. We should hold a ARCSOA 18 seasons party. Invite all ARCSOA drivers, get some people to record the thing a post it on TV. Include some exclusive driver interviews. Some celebrity performances. It would be fun, anybody agree?" | |

| Ike Durbin fastest in Practice which was marred by several incidents... favorite to win American 700 pole
Ike Durbin scored the fastest lap early in the American 700 pre-qualifying session. The session was marred by several incidents that were minor for the most part. One of which involved Nathan McKane and Jordan Davis making contact and sending Davis head first toward the inside wall, before Davis wrestled the 86 away from it with a massively impressive showing of car control. Both drivers blamed each other for the crash. Another incident involved Sean Perkins, who was 2nd in practice shoving Zsolt Dormitory all the way into the backstretch grass forcing Dormitory to slide up the track in front of Perkins and pancaked the right side of his car with the outside wall. Dormitory would need to go to a backup car. Noah Hart also tangled with Nick Perclies later on in the session, which resulted in Perclies barrel rolling 3 times down the front stretch. Perclies' teammate Matt Duncan did a fantastic job avoiding the 17 car.
Top 10 in Practice
1. Durbin 2. Perkins 3. Myatt 4. Finguy 5. Pushanda 6. Syron 7. N. Hart 8. J. Kurtis 9. D. Kurtis 10. Vargas

| Cooper Syron shocks the world with the American 700 Pole, Shelton, Sarrinen, and Schallrotte only full time drivers to lock themselves in.
In a shocking pole qualifying session that came down to the final 2 minutes of the 90 minute session. Cooper Syron jumped from 3rd on the board to grasp the American 700 pole. The Australian ARCSOA Lights driver has never started an ARCSOA Elite Series race, and yet grabs the pole for the biggest. Syron will start alongside Louisiana native, Kyle Nova. Both of which bumped the two full time Durbinsport cars in the final 2 minutes. The only issues seen in qualifying was the 45 Mentervini of Jason Tyson blowing up, and a turbocharger problem for the 545, Blue Spear car of Connor Atwood. The qualifying races will be run tomorrow, for the Independence Day race! The cars locked in are down below.
Syron - 32.414 Nova - 32.433 M. White - 32.488 Shelton - 32.499 N. Hart - 32.503 Sarrinen - 32.536 Schallrotte- 32.541 Mace - 32.552 Pushanda - 32.554 S. Perkins - 32.560

| Syron: I couldn't take the position without thanking everyone that has helped me get to where I am. I wasn't expecting to make it into the American 700, but I still kept thinking to myself, "I can do this". Throughout the qualifying, I didn't know how I was going, so this was a surprise to me! My car was great, the team did a very good job, and I'm very excited to show what I'm capable of! | |
