| After racing upfront in a crazy race at Texas World, a crash happened early on in the going involving Season 8 Champion, Sean Perkins. As the wreck happened, Perkins' car tipped over and started to barrel roll of speeds upwards to 200+ mph. Slamming hard against asphalt, concrete, and grass. The wreck itself was pretty bad. Perkins would walk away feeling hurt but claiming to be fine. We addressed the issue during the race in the booth that Sean had gave us good news that he was okay, but later was sent to the local hospital in Texas to undergo treatment due to feeling really sore and hurt. During his time at the hospital Sean discovered that he had gotten a concussion from the incident and was told that he should take the time to try and heal and get past his injuries at this time by not getting back in the car.
Sean Perkins sits 35th in the points standings already missing 3 races this season (Daytona 500, Homestead, and Indy) and is 99 points behind Emma White who is 25th in the points standings. With any shot at making the Chase For The Sony Cup gone, Perkins will be forced by his team by necessary precautions will sit him out for 3 more races. Sitting out from racing in Decatur, Arkansas, and Mosport (Rounds 21, 22, and 23). The replacement for Perkins is still unknown at this time but we will update you on who that driver will be, in this news headlines here. Thanks.

| His replacement could be Bradley Bishop Jr... I mean, so far he's proved to be a pretty skilled driver. Placing a top 10 in his first race. | |

| In my honest opinion. The sub should be a driver who was consistent in their part-time ride. Or didn't get lucky after the biggest wreck in SCS history. Not to hate on BBJr. But he's not really a guy I want in the car yet for these three races. These three are hard rounds to race. I think he needs more training. | |

| That was probably the biggest barrel roll in the SCS ever. | |

| Hope Perkins can recover! It's a shame to see drivers out early due to injuries. | |

| Silverfox: "Eugene Demax might be a good option for them. He is an Audi driver as it is right now, maybe a small return would be a good idea and that team could use some muscle." | |

| Eugene Demax seems to have no intentions of getting back into the SCS. Last time Demax started a race in the SCS was Season 15's Finale driving the same car that gave him his first SCS start...the #43 Cheerio's Dodge. At the abrupt unexpected end of his career Demax had 241 starts in the Sony Cup Series, he is one of the few drivers to have raced that many races in the series. Demax holds 3rd place in the most winning driver list with 16 wins in his career although he is soon to be tied/past for that record as Luke Martin and Charles Sandfer both with 15 wins have their sites set on tying the record.
However with Demax out of the picture, HorizonGroup has announced the driver to replace the Season 8 Champion will be the rookie, Charlie Smith. Charlie, finished in the top 5 in the DAYTONA 500 for his first ever start in the SCS! Currently that is his only start in the series! Smith is looking to surprise some more people and proving the Daytona finish wasn't a fluke. He will get chances to race the #78 3M Audi for Round 21-23.

| Cavagnaro is out for the rest of the season from the 66 so Devin Becker can run races. Alan however still wants to run races but as well wanted to be polite to ARC Racing. | |
