2015 DuPont World Series Of Racing: Round 2 @ Decatur Raceway

For the 2nd time in DWSR history we head to Decatur Raceway for the 2nd round of the 2015 season. Last season ended in a thriller when Zachary Fitzwater held off Jourdain Smith in the final laps to score his first career win. Could we see a first time winner once again here in Decatur? I guess time will tell, as this race will also be the first race in the new race weekend format. Also the Division 2 cars will also be racing here on the same weekend, they however will not follow the DWSR race weekend format listed below.

Round 2c: Grid is reversed, but only for drivers who finished on the lead lap in the b round.

-Rain causes calamity as qualifying ends early due to sudden downpour, making the Q order very mismatched as only 4 drivers were able to do a Q lap not in wet weather conditions

How 'bout that, my team actually did something in qualifying for once.

Cavy: Mikey start in in 8th, car was a little tight in Q for a P18. My team did decent in Lites with 9th and 27th.

Great job by Michael and I to get in the 4th row together at this technical track. Skyla and Jesse has some work to do but I'm not all that worried. Jesse hasn't been that experience on Road Courses but I have faith in him to keep working at it and to get better. I am excited to try and beat my three rookies.

Division 2 on the other hand has some work to do from the mid pack. I hope Louviere can focus after those wrecks at Spa. We'll see what happens this week.

Starting deep in the field, but I have a great crew behind me. Good pit stops can help us gain lots of positions.

Travel: "Again! Yes!"

Syron: "15th. An improvement to my last qualifying. Hopefully I don't wreck, Indianapolis was suddenly a nightmare for me..."

Starting 3rd This is deja vu from last season all over again I got another shot and I got my Biggest Rival starting up front of me what a surprise

I sort of forgot the music....

Nice way for Vargas and Louviere to recover from a mid field qualifying position to get 5th and 12th. It wasn't easy but we got there.

Wright:" Uhh Me and Vargas got a little too aggressive I would say, but I was as well and I took out Wascher..so sorry! But I had an Okay run, my setup was for the long run so I didn't get going on the start really well."

K.Pericles:" Mother Fucker..car was terrible and I struggled the entire time, and since I need a break, I'll let my cousin take the wheel."

Lightning:" Kinda happy to drive for Kassandra, and run in my first ARCSOA competition!"

Luca: I'm even surprised I made the race here. I never raced these cars before but I have raced for Volkswagan in the Formula 3 as a replacement but we'll see what happens.

I'll try and record some of it tomorrow, just haven't been up to it lately.

Let's just say Round 2a's race theme fits with everything.

Thankfully didn't get involved in any incidents like my two teammates. Hope to cap off the weekend well.

DWSR News: Skyla Johnson and Vladimir Petrov possibly receiving penalties by the end of the weekend.

Michael: Don't get why Vladimir would get a penalty, it's my fault, I was the slower car and I was in his way, plus it was a racing accident (Michael is opposite from his father, he is very apologetic, sincere, and too caring)
