Nick Mace in his #48 Lowes Chevy qualified 6th and finished 1st at the end of the 100 lapper of our 2nd short track race of the season. ORP being the 2nd race in a row at Indianapolis brought some difficult racing. The racing was tough out there where passing was very hard to do. Our biggest movers of the race gained only 12 spots at the most, Skye Commons started 22nd finishing 10th.
The race only saw 2 lead changes all race, Treck Tauger in his Blue Flare Motorsports #41 Toyota surprisingly led the first 75 laps out of 100, while Nick Mace took the lead to lead the last 25 laps of the event.
This was the first race of the entire season that a Ford manufacturer DID NOT LEAD A SINGLE LAP in a 2015 Sony Cup Series Race.
Nick Mace winning the race was a mile stone in its own! Nick Mace made history in being the first ARCSOA Driver to win 50 or more ARCSOA Races in the ARCSOA Universe, the next closest driver to his resume is Noah Hart with 29 ARCSOA Universe Wins!
Chevy was also added onto the list of manufacturer winners of 2015, Ford (12), Holden (1), BMW (1), and Chevy (1) now the only manufacturers with wins this season. Toyota, Dodge, Pontiac, Audi, Lexus, and Merecedes are the other manufacturers this season who have also yet win a race in the 2015 Season with 21 races remaining.
