OOC: Latvia is going up as I speak

Drivers cite huge Safety Concerns leading up to the race here at Monza. Drivers considering

The drivers of the ARCSOA Elite Series have cited that the Monza race track that the Round of Italy is being held on is dangerously unsafe. ARCSOA Drivers association president Jake Baskinger stated, "It is a lot of fun when you don't have people around you trying some crazy moves at 220 MPH entering a 100 MPH corner. There is also a wall that jets out on the main straight that is incredibly dangerous as well." Team Discover Ohio principal Kenny Myatt also stated, "The track is hideously out of date, and is in need of some chicanes. There is virtually no run off area except in the parabolica corner, so making a mistake could mean a simply hideous wreck. The grid slots are also on the wrong side of the main straight, so the possibility of a wreck before the Curva Grande is quite high." Because of this, there are rumors that some drivers may hold a boycott from the event, making this a very controversial one.

James: I love the culture in Italy, second favorite country, beautiful oceans and food. I heard that while they make good pizza, their pasta is really good.

Tamur: I honestly think I can win on this track.

OOC: oh okay.

Pericles:" Ahh, one of the many cultures that run through the family.-*Smiles*- Well let's see what we can make this baby do here!! Although the track looks a little unstable. I saw a rat run by the Haulers like 5-6 times...cracked pavement and such..I don't know about this.."

Michael: Me and Thenos had some fun last night, went out to the movies, went to eat dinner, and when we came back Alan was still watching reruns of the S15 SCS Daytona 500. He didn't even hear Thenos and I walk in.

Discover Ohio, Pure Michigan, D&C all to sit out Round of Monza citing safety issues, Ferrari to run Thenos

A lot of safety concerns leading up to the Round of Italy have been expressed. Culminating with three of the biggest teams in the sport pulling out of the event concerning the lack of run off room and high speed of the Monza race track. Pure Michigan Team Principal Gerald Silver stated, "It is one thing to have an oval where speeds are 200 MPH, however an oval tends to be 'self clearing.' If a wreck happens here, there is no where to run because the track is so narrow outside of the front straight." Discover Ohio Team Principal Kenny Myatt also noted a rather large bump coming off of the Parabolica corner.

Thenos: "That really still leaves Shelly, and Shaun... I'm sure Kyle will still be on track. But yet. I rather be back at the US right now." *Sigh* "...Someone needs to catch Wilhoit."

Shock Jr.: "I myself didn't want to step out, but I had to. I think it's because of my feelings about Finguy in Road America. That was a death, at a road course. And topping over 200mph, I just can't race. I don't care if it brings shame on me. But I'll stand my ground into the end."
