Sony Cup Series Stewards Put Their Foot Down.

Lee Mayers CEO of ARCSOA Sony Cup Series: We have let the drivers talk as much as they have wanted about the rule package and other drivers and teams but calling out the sport as a whole and the officials that run it as such by some of our drivers and teams we will not tolerate it. You guys race for pride and fun of wanting to race and if you want to jeopardize your freedom in racing in the Sony Cup Series then that is when we have to draw the line. The comments from Sean Perkins and Finguy-Psytoni Motorsports about the sport is pretty much uncalled for at the very least. An as far as we have had this season besides Crayola Racing's engines at Daytona all the teams have been very kind in not going over the line in our rule package that we give out. You are allowed to push the limits but we will not allow it to a certain extinct. We love the feed back but it has been going on too long and we are putting our foot down and for actions detrimental to stock car racing of the comments by Sean Perkins and Finguy-Psytoni Motorsports we are suspending these people from any activities of the Sony Cup Series for Round 13 and Round 14 (Homestead and Indianapolis). Now if these drivers will like to take their suspensions with maturity we will be glad to welcome them back to racing but we will not tolerate insults on our racing league as such.

FPM Will Accept these Penalties with no Question

In light of this, Finguy-Psytomi Motorsports will surrender and accept the terms of this penalty. Boss and Co-Owner Johnny Finguy had this to comment.
"If our words offended anyone, we apologies. If our actions have this as a conclusion, fine. It just means our word will now be in consideration. We won't show to attempt these races, but it's a damn shame we, a weak team was hit hard."

Silverfox: "Good, because if we were going to enforce good teams for actually being too good at most races then Elites would have to ban all Ohio based teams...actually that's not a bad idea."

Martin: Thanks stewards for finally putting your foot down. It's been getting rediculous.

This is how I think about this situation. Just worry about your own team and yourself and maybe you can do better. It's less about the car then the drivers. Coorswiser and Yamp do so good because they have the drivers that know how to run the cars and put in the write setup. I say everyone keep your mouths shut and worry about yourself and you'll be up in points with everyone. I'm just saying.
