Jesse Turner Empty
PostSubject: Jesse Turner    Jesse Turner EmptyJune 5th 2015, 12:16 pm

Jesse Turner - Being an avid motor sports fan his whole life, all he wanted to do throughout his youth was to go fast and win in a race car. As he grew up, he first competed in go-karts at age 9, then continually climbed up the local division ranks before landing into super late models at age 18. As he started to become more known racing around NY state, he decided that racing was the career path he wanted to strive for. Thankfully he had a strong support from his family and his hometown, and this allowed him to go more places and make more headlines with each victory he recorded.

Sony - A few years pass by, then Turner finally got the big break he was waiting for his whole life, being tabbed by Luke Martin and 5th Turn Racing to drive the #22 Ford full time for season 13 in the Sony Cup Series. Turner sure didn't disappoint in his rookie season. His first SCS/ARCSOA start was in the S13 DAYTONA 500, where he dodged the big one early on, and ran near the front all night until a lapped Noah Hart put him in the wall on lap 36. He still carried on to finish 14th. In his 6th career start at Lime Rock, he started 2nd and finished 2nd to Richerd Johnson in that race. He would eventually finish 12th in points in the 10-race season and claim ROTY honors.
For seasons 14 and 15, he would drive the #27 car for Bill Davis Racing, sadly without much success, but did claim 4th in the S15 DAYTONA 500. In season 16, Ganassi Racing hired Turner to drive the #41 Dodge. But the team didn't have much speed all season, claiming only 4 top 10's, and the two would part ways at season's end. He wound up with a back marker team for season 17, but ended the season well with a 5th at Washington DC. Then in season 18, he was picked up by Roush Racing to drive the #17 car. Turner finally had a season to celebrate driving for a good team, posting several top 5 finishes and landing a top-10 finish in the final points.
Staying true to the blue oval, Jesse would now dive into team ownership, and co-own Turner-Fenway Racing for next season. Driving with S15 champion and S18 teammate, Jake Baskinger, along with SCS winner Michael White, the team is off to a hot start. Turner would tie his best career finish of 2nd in the DAYTONA 500, and the next race at Rockingham, Baskinger would pick up the team's first victory. He still leads the points after 6 rounds. Turner is definitely a happy camper in the Sony Cup Series garage, and he's proud to make this series his home.

DuPont - After driving several seasons in the SCS, Jesse decided to dip his feet into the DuPont World Series of Racing for their 11th season, and field a part-time Patriot's Trophy entry. Driving his own #89 Ford for Predator Racing, his first ever race would be at Canada Oval. He qualified deep in the pack, but stunned everyone when he finished 8th. Before the end of the season, fellow friend and Red Bull driver Jake Baskinger recommended Turner for a full-time ride, and Red Bull soon announced him as the full-time driver of the #82 car and compete for ROTY. Looking forward to the future with the opportunity, Turner can't wait for the season to begin.

Hope that was thorough and interesting enough for you guys.
