During qualifying, Cicarelli Barakated was penalized 25 points for speeding in pit lane, not only to cut off championship contender and teammate, Tristian Wilhoit. Wilhoit walks away from the uprising confrontation before it even escalated.
After the German Grand Prix, tensions rise between the Delta Express and Deitysport, as their court date is closing up pretty soon. However, Delta isn't instigating the situation this time, as the Deitysport crew vandalizes their trailer with spray paint, which infuriates Delta. The officials eventually ended the situation and that is under investigation.
In spite of all of the events that occurred, Cicarelli Barakated and Tristian Wilhoit are on the front row for Rio. Many of the drivers are scared, because they think that Wilhoit will wreck Barakated before turn one. Wilhoit ignores them and he will start 2nd, just beside Barakated.
